Greenwich – Culture Hosts takes the peninsula

The challenge

Situated on the River Thames, Maritime Greenwich is a World Heritage Site and famous for such historic landmarks as the Cutty Sark and the home of Greenwich Meantime. Visit Greenwich is the destination management organisation for this Royal Borough.

Visit Greenwich were looking for a centralised listings platform which could hold a wide variety of visitor information data from across the borough. The platform needed to offer a level of curation, a number of options for uploading data and the functionality to feed their existing consumer-facing website.

Our response

We created a bespoke Culture Hosts cluster for Visit Greenwich where they could upload the borough’s entire visitor offer directly, or, invite and manage cultural and tourism partners to contribute their own content.

Kickstarting a new approach

Using an API connection, the content on Visit Greenwich is now powered by Culture Hosts. Rather than rebuilding their entire site at a significant cost, Culture Hosts provides and affordable and flexible solution to gathering and managing their visitor offer.
